Découvrez ce site historique à travers : – La Chapelle Saint-Gorgon – Les puits – Le Chenil – La Longère – Le Pressoir – Le Fournil – La Charretterie – Le jardin médiéval Il faut retourner plus de 800 ans en arrière pour arriver à la construction du Manoir de l'Aumônerie. Les Templiers ont-ils réellement construit le Manoir de l’Aumônerie ? C’est la question à laquelle nous essayons de répondre actuellement en fouillant dans tous les documents et archives possibles. Recherches en cours… affaire à suivre… ! En effet, les Templiers auraient bâti le Manoir vers 1214. Devenus très riches, ils bâtissent des domaines pour protéger les routes et pour y accueillir voyageurs, Croisés et pèlerins. La dissolution de l’Ordre lors du Concile de Vienne et la mort du Grand Maître Jacques de Molay, brûlé sur le bûcher en 1314, entraîne la disparition de l’Ordre du Temple. Tous les biens des Templiers sont alors dévolus. Au 15ème siècle, la Ferme et la clairière dépendent de l’Abbaye Saint-Georges, à Saint-Martin-de-Boscherville. Cette abbaye bénédictine a été fondée en 1112 avec le concours de la très puissante famille de Tancarville. Les moines Bénédictins en font alors l’Aumônerie de l’Abbaye. Ils y installent des fermiers tout en recevant dans le manoir des hôtes des moines. Au XVIème siècle, Le Pressoir, la Longère, Le Chenil et le Four à Pain ainsi qu’une chapelle consacrée à Saint-Gorgon, un saint martyr romain, sont construits. Lors de la Révolution française, la propriété est confisquée aux moines et rachetée par des particuliers. Au XIXème siècle, les bâtiments de la Crémerie et la Grange sont construits. Le domaine changera plusieurs fois de mains au cours du XXème siècle et dans les années 1960, les terres de la propriété sont vendues au fur et à mesure comme terrains à bâtir. La propriété est rachetée en 1970 aux descendants des derniers fermiers par Michel et Josette Ratier qui font inscrire l’ensemble sur la liste des Monuments Historiques. En 2018, Erwan et Sophie-Isabelle de Saint-Seine s’engagent à leur suite dans la restauration du Manoir de l’Aumônerie.
