Stonehaven is a coastal town in Aberdeenshire, about 15 miles south of Aberdeen, built around a sheltered harbour. The clifftop ruins of Dunnottar Castle stand a couple of miles south along a coastal path, the Art Deco Stonehaven Open Air Pool opens in summer, and the town's Fireballs ceremony marks Hogmanay.
