About Cardiff International Pool
Cardiff International Pool is an Olympic-sized swimming pool in the Grangetown area of Cardiff. It was built as a public-private project involving Cardiff Council, OLLC and Parkwood Leisure, with Parkwood winning a ten-year contract to manage the facility. The pool is a key venue for swimming in the Welsh capital.
Its opening ended a decade without an Olympic-sized pool in Wales. The previous one, the Empire Pool, closed and was demolished in 1998 to make way for the Millennium Stadium. Check official channels for public swim times before visiting. It remains an important facility for swimmers across Wales.
