About Hayward Gallery

The Hayward Gallery is an art gallery within the Southbank Centre in central London. It belongs to a cluster of major arts venues on the South Bank of the River Thames, sitting next to the other Southbank Centre buildings, the National Theatre and the BFI Southbank cinema.

After the South Bank Centre rebranded as the Southbank Centre in 2007, the gallery was known simply as the Hayward until early 2011, when it took back its full name. Its riverside position makes it easy to combine with other cultural stops nearby on the South Bank.
