About London Transport Museum

London Transport Museum is based in Covent Garden and explores the heritage of transport in the capital, conserving and explaining its history. Most of its exhibits came from the collections of London Transport, so it is a natural stop for anyone curious about how the city's transport network grew.

Since the creation of Transport for London in 2000, the museum's remit has widened to cover all aspects of transport in the city and, in some cases, beyond. It operates from two sites in London, and its Covent Garden home makes it easy to combine with a day in the West End.
