Situé dans la campagne vallonnée du sud de la Manche, le Jardin du Cassel est un véritable havre de paix et de beauté. Créé par Martine, une ancienne professeure de musique, ce jardin de 3600 m² est une subtile composition de mixed borders, roseraies, petits bassins et couloirs d’eau. Chaque coin du jardin invite à la sérénité et à la contemplation. Depuis son ouverture en 1992, le jardin a évolué pour devenir un espace riche en diversité florale et en aménagements paysagers. Les visiteurs peuvent se promener entre les massifs d’arbres, d’arbustes, de vivaces et de roses anciennes, tout en admirant les objets de décoration et le mobilier de jardin qui agrémentent le lieu. Après la visite, il est possible de se détendre en dégustant un thé, un café ou une boisson rafraîchissante dans le salon de thé du jardin. Le Jardin du Cassel propose également une boutique ouverte les mercredis, jeudis, vendredis et samedis de 14h à 18h30 où Martine vend des décorations de jardin, des pergolas, des arches et des mobiles en fer forgé, ainsi que des objets de brocante joliment mis en scène. Le jardin se visite de début mai à fin septembre, les mercredis, jeudis, vendredis et samedis de 14h à 18h30, ainsi que certains dimanches. Egalement pour des événements spéciaux comme la foire aux plantes chaque lundi de Pentecôte et le marché de l’artisanat le deuxième dimanche de septembre.
