Comme son nom l’indique, ce superbe espace engazonné était l’ancien cimetière de la ville. Bâti au XIIe siècle, il n’en reste aujourd’hui que ces enfilades d’arcades du XVe et XVIe s. qui abritent les artisans du marché médiéval des Fêtes de Jeanne d’Arc. Fermé au XVIIIe s., il fut souvent réaménagé. Il accueille désormais de nombreux événements culturels de la ville.
