About Adventure Parc Snowdonia

Formerly called Surf Snowdonia, the park at Dolgarrog opened in August 2015 at a cost of £12 million, with an artificial wave pool billed as the world's first commercial surfing lake.

Mechanical failures in 2022 switched the waves off, and the park closed in September 2023 while new investment was sought. It reopened as an indoor and outdoor activities centre in September 2025 and is now owned by The Interesting Hotels Group. Check the official website for current activities.

  • Former home of the world's first commercial surf lake
