Jusqu’en février 2026, le musée Granet y a accueilli l’exceptionnelle collection d’art moderne de la Fondation Jean et Suzanne Planque. Du 11 avril au 6 septembre 2026, le musée Granet d’Aix-en-Provence présente en collaboration avec la Fondation Jean et Suzanne Planque, à Granet XXe, chapelle des Pénitents blancs, Kosta Alex. Coup de chapeau, une exposition consacrée à l’artiste américain d’origine grecque, Kosta Alexopoulos (1925-2005) dit Kosta Alex. Cette rétrospective d’une soixantaine d’œuvres retrace cinquante ans de création, depuis l’arrivée à Paris de l’artiste jusqu’à sa disparition en 2005, à travers sculptures, assemblages, cartons-reliefs, collages, dessins, films et archives. Sculpteur prolifique, discret et résolument libre, admiré par le collectionneur suisse Jean Planque, Kosta Alex s’est tenu à l’écart de tout courant artistique, s’inspirant de la vie et de la poésie du quotidien. À partir de matériaux pauvres glanés ici et là, il crée une œuvre singulière, empreinte de cocasserie et d’ingéniosité. Cet événement vient clore quinze années de collaboration et de dialogue intense entre la fondation Jean et Suzanne Planque et le musée Granet, tel un « coup de chapeau » à cette aventure artistique et à cette collection exceptionnelles ! – – – Le site Granet XXe est détenteur du label Tourisme et Handicap depuis juin 2017.
